FUJI 35 Ketch - 'Gypsea III'

Mike says about his Fuji 35:

"I would love to see your pictures and also hear about any information you might have on the boat.

I bought my Fuji off the Great Lakes a few years ago and brought it to Iowa. I love my 1974 model and would like to know what things you have done to your boat. I have the ketch version with the taff rail around the stern. The previous owner put in a new Perkins 4-108 in 1991 and new decks in 1993, so it appears to be in pretty good shape for its age. I plan on moving to Florida in two years and spending a lot of time on the boat. Where do you sail and how appropriate do you think the Fuji has been for the area in which you use the boat?"

7 September, 2000 - Mike emails to say that he had finally moved to Florida.

' Bill, I finally got back online late this summer. My new mailing address is Mike Barton, 4087 Cape Cole Blvd. Punta Gorda, FL 33955. As you can see I was able to hang it up in Des Moines Iowa this summer and make the move to Florida. GYPSEA III made the trip on the back of a semi truck but she seems to be enjoying the waters of Charlotte Harbor. She is slipped at the Burnt Store Marina which has so far proved to be a great place to keep a boat. Incidentally, my new E-Mail is barton4087@comcast.netm Smooth sailing. Mike Barton'
